Our values

The values of an organisation either make or break it. Created by every member of our team, we live and breathe ours every day. Our values influence our culture and our business decisions, giving us the confidence to excite our clients. The Culture Team, made up of volunteers from across the Group, regularly organises events from photography competitions to pub quiz nights and also meet to discuss business issues.

The Culture Team plays a pivotal role in organising our Group-wide meetings where everyone in the company is provided with a transparent picture of company performance and exciting news.

Trust and respect

Our flexible working policies rely on common sense ‘rules’ and dialogue within teams to reflect the trust in people at all levels to ensure they achieve a work life balance without impacting on client demands. Our agency bar is also respected and the few bar rules that do exist are adhered to… Bina, our cleaner, only has to throw a couple of people out at 7pm when it shuts!

Security

Personal attack alarms are issued to all female members of staff to provide peace of mind during winter walks to the surrounding transport facilities. Quarterly company wide meetings provide staff with a full picture on the financial health of the business and a clearer understanding of the great work each of our agencies create. Bike locks are given to all the bike riders as part of our ISO14001 certification and we became carbon neutral in 2010.

Confidence

Regular ‘shouts’ see nominees get recognised for their hard work and achievements in Confidence ‘Boost’ emails and bars. It may only be a bar of chocolate, but it’s a reflection of how teams support each other and recognise the mini triumphs that set us apart. We don’t have polished pitch teams, like most agencies, we encourage everyone to get involved in new business, with ‘junior’ members of the team regularly cutting their teeth in the client’s boardroom.

Family

Our family summer BBQs have been a part of the business since 1979. Whilst we’re not exempt from the commercial realities of our industry, the culture of the organisation means we show compassion and reflect that in a generous flexible benefits scheme. Our 3-month health and wellbeing programme funded by the company and run by the Naturopathic Centre, also reflects our commitment to our team and ensures we’re in peak condition. Our recycling and carbon initiatives also ensure that we’re doing our bit to protect the planet for the next generation.

Fun and happiness

If you're not having fun, you're not happy and if you're not happy, what's the point? Even when the times are tough the banter helps us keep going!
